Internet Security and ActiveKEY Software

Internet Security programs running on your PC can interfere with ActiveKEY communications.

To allow the ActiveKEY to update through your computer's Internet connection, add the eSYNC files to the software's accepted/allowed/exceptions programs list making sure they are always allowed or granted access to the internet.

The files to add can be found on your computer in C:\Program Files\GE Security:
  1. AKeyPCSyncService.exe


  2. AKeyPCSyncApp.exe




  • Since there are so many Internet Security Software vendors, you will need to contact them for specific instructions on how to allow the ActiveKEY software.
