Downloading and Installing eSYNC Software
If you need to uninstall first go to ActiveKEY uninstall instructions.
The ActiveKEY PC sync software is available free of charge on KIM Web
If you have 64 bit Vista or Windows 7, download the ActiveKEY PC-Sync Software here, and then follow these instructions
Download and Install ActiveKEY Software
If your Personal Firewall Software interferes with ActiveKEY software installation disable or close it during the installation. Go to ActiveKEY Internet Security for a list of ActiveKEY programs to add to your personal firewall software.- Click here to download the ActiveKEY PC-Sync Software
- Click "Install ActiveKEY Software", then click
.
- If you see a security warning, click "Run".
- Follow the on-screen instructions to install the application. The program will instruct you when to attach the USB cable to your ActiveKEY and to your computer.
- After the ActiveKEY is connected, the 'Found New Hardware' window may appear. Note: If you see a message that says the hardware is installed and ready to use, skip steps 6 and 7.)
- If you get 3 options to choose from, select "No, not this time" and then click "Next".
- If you see a message saying the software hasn't passed Windows Logo testing: click 'Continue Anyway'.
- Select "Install Automatically (Recommended)" and click "Next", then click "Finish".
- If a second 'Found New Hardware' window appears, repeat steps 5-6 above.
Note: the computer may start to program the key - this may take about 20 minutes, please allow this to finish before continuing.
Manual eSYNC
- Attach the USB cable to the ActiveKEY and to a USB port on the computer
- The ActiveKEY should update automatically when you attach it to the computer. If it doesn't,
click on the ActiveKEY icon
